On Tuesday, 25th November 2025, the National Institute for Health and Social Studies (NIHSS) hosted the Minister of Health, Dr Marvin Fanny. The Minister met with the NIHSS Management Team, followed by an engaging discussion with its members.
The Director, Mr Ebrahim Ali, provided a comprehensive overview of the institution’s general information, strategic framework and direction, strategic plan and pillars, governance, management, and staff and student population. He also elaborated on the programmes currently offered, various partnerships and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), courses and programmes in development and review, and gave a brief assessment of the institution’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
The Minister also had the opportunity to undertake a site visit, which included a briefing on the NIHSS extension project. This was followed by a reception with snacks and refreshments, during which he interacted with NIHSS staff. The visit concluded with a group photograph of all staff members with the Minister
